BRUNSWICK — Maine State Music Theatre will hold auditions from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at 22 Elm St. This is an open call audition, those who wish to audition should show up, sign in, and will be seen in the order they arrive.

Children 6-10 years old will audition from 10 to 11 a.m.; Maine adult actors will audition from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and potential performance interns will be seen from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Callbacks will be held Sunday, March 4.

Children should bring a headshot and resume and prepare a 16-bar song (must bring sheet music). Adult actors should bring a headshot and resume, prepare 16 bars of two songs (must bring sheet music). Accompanist provided. Some actors may be asked to remain for the dance call set for 3-5 p.m.; bring appropriate dance shoes. Not all locals will be required to dance in shows.

The theatre company seeks local adults for “Beauty and the Beast,” set for June 27-July 14; “Saturday Night Fever,” to be staged July 18-Aug. 4, and “Singin’ in the Rain,” scheduled for Aug. 8-25.

The theatre is seeking children for “Beauty and the Beast”and possibly “Singin’ in the Rain.” The theatre also seeks performance interns 18 and older for the full season May 21 through Aug. 26.

The theatre is a professional summer theatre celebrating its 60th anniversary of Broadway quality musicals at the Pickard Theater on the Bowdoin Campus in Brunswick.
