NORTH ANSON — Four youths were summonsed in connection with a burglary of the concession stand at Carrabec High School and damage to it last month.

The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the burglary at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 30, according to a press release. Cpl. Gene Cole and Deputy Isaac Wacome were assigned the call.

Once at the school, the officers were told the concession stand had been broken into, which caused damage to the building. Appliances in the stand were also damaged and food was missing. The estimated value of the damage was $400.

During the initial investigation, four males from Anson and Madison were identified as being in the area at the time of the burglary. The investigation was assigned to the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Division, which located the four males, three of whom are juveniles. The fourth was identified as Dustin Miller, 18, of Anson.

The parents of the juveniles involved were notified and summonses were issued to each for class C burglary and class E theft.

Miller was charged with class C burglary and class E theft. Miller is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 15 in the Somerset County Unified Court.

The Sheriff’s Office continues to work with the Somerset County District Attorney’s Office on this case.
