Winslow High School track and field coach Ken Nadeau was named Maine boys coach of the year by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Nadeau coached the Black Raiders to their first state title since 1966. According to a release from the USTFCCA, coaches are selected based on a number of criteria, including their teams finish at the state meet, the number of events in which athletes were qualified, and individual championships won.

John Folan of Greely High School was named Maine girls track and field coach of the year. Nadeau and Folan are now under consideration for national coach of the year honors. National winners will be announced later this month.
