AUGUSTA — Drug trafficking and related charges lead the list of indictments handed up Thursday by a grand jury in Kennebec County.
The list includes a number of people arrested in late December following an investigation into an alleged drug trafficking conspiracy in which illegal drugs were driven from Massachusetts to be sold in Augusta.
Here are the names of those individuals and their charges.
• Jordan Ascencio, also known as Jay-EZ, 20, of Dorchester, Massachusetts, aggravated trafficking in cocaine, aggravated trafficking in heroin and four counts of criminal forfeiture involving three firearms and two separate amounts of cash, $1,266, and $2,465, all Dec. 20, 2016, and two counts of criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated trafficking in drugs Nov. 15-Dec. 20, 2016, all in Augusta.
• Dalene Black, 35, of Augusta, aggravated trafficking in cocaine, aggravated trafficking in heroin and criminal forfeiture of $1,266 and two firearms, all Dec. 20, 2016, and two counts of criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated trafficking in drugs Nov. 15-Dec. 20, 2016, all in Augusta.
• Jaime Brea, also known as Uncle and Unc, 50, of Augusta, aggravated trafficking in cocaine, aggravated trafficking in heroin, and four counts of criminal forfeiture involving three firearms and two separate amounts of cash, $1,266 and $2,465, all Dec. 20, 2016, and two counts of criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated trafficking in drugs Nov. 15-Dec. 20, 2016, and an additional count of criminal forfeiture of $960, seized Dec. 28, 2016, all in Augusta.
• Corey Collamore, 31, of South China, two counts of aggravated trafficking in heroin Dec. 8, 2016, and two counts of criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated trafficking in drugs Nov. 15-Dec. 20, 2016; receiving stolen property (a .38 caliber revolver) and criminal forfeiture of $2,465 and two firearms Dec. 20, 2016, all in Augusta.
• Jose Figueroa, also known as Trap, 24, of Dorchester, Massachusetts, aggravated trafficking in cocaine, aggravated trafficking in heroin, and four counts of criminal forfeiture involving three firearms and two separate amounts of cash, $1,266, and $2,465, all Dec. 20, 2016, and two counts of criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated trafficking in drugs Nov. 15-Dec. 20, 2016, all in Augusta.
• Sergio Figueroa, also known as Kash, 21, of Roxbury, Massachusetts, four counts of criminal forfeiture involving three firearms, and two separate amounts of cash, $1,266, and $2,465, all Dec. 20, 2016, and two counts of criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated trafficking in drugs Nov. 15-Dec. 20, 2016, all in Augusta.
• Kidante Roberts, also known as KD, 22, of Boston, Massachusetts, aggravated trafficking in cocaine, aggravated trafficking in heroin and four counts of criminal forfeiture involving three firearms and two separate amounts of cash, $1,266, and $2,465, all Dec. 20, 2016, and two counts of criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated trafficking in drugs Nov. 15-Dec. 20, 2016, all in Augusta.
• Emanuel Rocque, also known as Rocky, 39, of Augusta, aggravated trafficking in cocaine, aggravated trafficking in heroin and four counts of criminal forfeiture involving three firearms and two separate amounts of cash, $1,266, and $2,465, all Dec. 20, 2016, and two counts of criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated trafficking in drugs Nov. 15-Dec. 20, 2016, all in Augusta.
An indictment is not a determination of guilt, but it indicates that there is enough evidence to proceed with formal charges and a trial.
A number of other individuals also were indicted on drug charges.

• Zachary L. Elwell, 21, of Oakland, trafficking in prison contraband — suboxone strips and/or trazodone hydrochloride pills (an antidepressant medication) — and unlawful possession of suboxone and unlawful possession of trazodone hydrochloride, all Nov. 8, 2016, in Augusta.
• Suhaila J. Foteh, 31, Christopher B. Hipp, 30, both of Greensboro, North Carolina, unlawful trafficking in more than a pound of marijuana Dec. 2, 2016, in China.
• Dixie Gauthier, also known as Dixie Stone, 36, of Damariscotta, and Lisa Gosselin, 41, of Edgecomb, two counts of aggravated trafficking in heroin Dec. 8 and Dec. 9, 2016, in Augusta.
• Mario Gordon, also known as MJ, 35, of Manhattan, New York, aggravated trafficking in heroin, aggravated trafficking in cocaine base, and aggravated trafficking in oxycodone and two counts of criminal forfeiture, one for $1,900 and one for $536, all Dec. 1, 2016, in Augusta.
• Jontae Johnson, also known as Jamal Carter, Sauce and Forty, 32, of Bronx, New York, aggravated trafficking in heroin and violation of condition of release Aug. 18, 2016, in Augusta.
• Nicole Lemay, 29, of Litchfield, unlawful trafficking in heroin July 14, 2016, in Augusta.

• Christine Thayer, 29, of Augusta, two counts of unlawful trafficking in heroin Sept. 20 and Nov. 16, 2016, and one count of unlawful trafficking in cocaine base Nov. 20, 2016, all in Augusta.
• Philip Theriault, 43, of Augusta, two counts of aggravated trafficking in heroin Nov. 9, 2016, in Augusta.
