Franklin Memorial Hospital names vice president of quality, safety
FARMINGTON — Timothy Churchill, interim president and chief executive officer of Franklin Memorial Hospital, is pleased to announce that Shelly Shibles, RN, BSN, PQHQ (certified professional in health care quality), has been named regional vice president of quality and safety for Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway and Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.
Shibles has a strong clinical background and significant quality and safety experience. She started with SMH in 1999, first in a clinical role before moving into administration to manage quality and safety. Shibles is nearing completion of her master’s degree in nursing patient safety and quality from Southern New Hampshire University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the College of New Rochelle in New York.
As regional vice president of quality and safety, Shibles will have an integrated responsibility for the administrative and operational oversight for both hospitals’ clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory and quality improvement issues and activities related to accreditation.

Camden National Bank announces Bangor and Down East leadership

James Adsit has joined the bank as senior vice president and director of commercial banking for the Bangor and Down East regions. In this position, he will lead a commercial banking team providing financing and cash management solutions to businesses and commercial customers throughout the region. With expertise in both banking and business, Adsit most recently was senior vice president, Healthcare Group New England team leader for the First Niagara Bank N.A. prior to relocating to Bangor and joining Camden National Bank. A graduate of the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute, Adsit worked as an executive at a Michigan-based manufacturing auto supplier earlier in his career. He shares the bank’s passion for vitalizing our communities.
Working alongside Adsit Down East is Blaine Jones, the new retail regional manager for Camden National Bank in the Down East region. Jones most recently served as regional market manager for Bangor Savings Bank and is passionate about further developing the local market in his new role. Jones will lead the bank’s efforts in providing retail deposit and lending efforts throughout the Down East region. A lifelong resident of Maine, Jones currently resides in Machias and is an active member of the board of directors for many local nonprofit organizations including the Sunrise County Economic Council. He is a graduate of the University of Maine and received his MBA from Thomas College.

Former wealth manager joins Camden Financial Consultants
CAMDEN — Carl D. Marsh has joined Camden Financial Consultants as assistant vice president, financial consultant. Camden Financial Consultants is located at Camden National Bank and offers access to full-service investment and insurance services. Based in the southern Maine area, Marsh will be assisting clients with their current and future financial needs, such as retirement planning, investing and estate planning.
“Prudent financial guidance and investment management is very important for today’s workforce and retirees,” said Marsh. “Helping clients understand the market and pursue their goals is absolutely the most rewarding part of my day.”
Previously, Marsh was associate wealth manager at TRSS Wealth Management, handling comprehensive financial planning, investment management, risk analysis, insurance and operations. A native of northern Maine, he moved south after receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine and currently resides in Gray with his family. An avid outdoorsman, Marsh enjoys hiking, hunting and camping while contributing to his community as a member of the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce.
