AUGUSTA — A messy mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain across central Maine forced the postponement of an abundance of high school sports Tuesday.
Here is a list of postponements:
• Cony-Gardiner hockey game: Postponed to Feb. 9 at a time to be determined.
• Cony-Brunswick basketball: Postponed to Wednesday, with the boys in Brunswick at 6:30 p.m. and the girls in Augusta, also at 6:30 p.m.
• Oak Hill/Hall-Dale basketball: Postponed to Thursday. The girls will play at 7 p.m. in Wales while the boys will play at 6:30 p.m. at Hall-Dale.
• Carrabec-Winthrop basketball: Postponed to Wednesday. The girls will play at 7 p.m. in Winthrop while the boys will play at Carrabec, also at 7 p.m.
• Waterville-Lawrence basketball: Postponed to Wednesday, with the boys at Lawrence and the girls in Waterville.
• Maranacook-Mount View basketball: Postponed to Saturday.
• Cony-Erskine basketball: Postponed to Thursday. The girls will play at 6:30 p.m. in Gardiner while the boys will tip off in South China at the same time.
• Winslow-Belfast basketball: Postponed to Wednesday. Boys will play in Belfast at 6:30 p.m. while the girls will be in Winslow, also at 6:30 p.m.
• The Messalonskee-Skowhegan boys and girls basketball games are postponed to Wednesday. The boys will play at Messalonskee and the girls will be in Skowhegan. Tip-off for both games is scheduled for 7 p.m.
• The Mt. Blue-Hampden basketball games were postponed to Wednesday at Hampden. The girls will play at 5 p.m. and the boys will follow at 6:30 p.m.
