OAKLAND — Sophie Holmes scored 16 points to lead the Messalonskee girls basketball team to a 56-40 victory over Oceanside in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference game Friday night.
Gabrielle Wener and Alyssa Geness each scored 11 points for Messalonskee (8-0). Ally Turner chipped in with eight points.
Raechel Joyce and Alexis Mazurek each scored eight points for Oceanside (4-3).
SKOWHEGAN 42, MCI 30: Sydney Reed scored 10 points as the Indians prevailed in a KVAC game in Skowhegan.
Emma Duffy, Sydney Ames and Mariah Dunbar each added nine points for Skowhegan (7-0).
Ciara Hamlin and Sydney Morton each scored seven for MCI (4-3).
RICHMOND 43, FOREST HILLS 34: Sydney Tilton had 12 points and seven rebounds to lift the Bobcats to the East/West Conference win in Jackman.
Mackenzie Abbott added 11 points for Richmond (7-0) while Meranda Martin had five points, six rebounds and six steals.
Forest Hills (3-4) was led by Caitlin Logston with 22 points and Alexandra Lessard with 10.
MONMOUTH 58, MT. ABRAM 19: Maddie Amero scored 11 points to spark the Mustangs to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Monmouth.
Tia Day added 10 points for Monmouth (7-2).
Mt. Abram (4-3) was led by Summer Ross with eight points.
BOOTHBAY 40, CARRABEC 20: Page Brown scored 24 points to lift the Seahawks to the MVC win in Boothbay.
Sydney Meader, Kate Friant and Chloe Arsenault added four points each for Boothbay (9-0).
Bailey Dunphy led Carrabec (2-5) with 10 points.
Mt. BLUE 40, ERSKINE 35: Rebecca Harmon scored 10 point and Lexi Mittelstadt added nine as the Cougars held on for a KVAC A win in South China.
Leah St. Laurent chipped in eight points for Mt. Blue (1-6) as well.
Catherine Silva scored 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Erskine (2-6).
TEMPLE 58, HEBRON 43: Kiara Carr scored 23 points to lead the Bereans to a victory over the Lumberjacks on Friday in Hebron.
Veronica Rossignol scored 12 points for Temple (6-1), while Deleyni Carr added 11 points.
Maddie New and Reily New each scored 15 points for Hebron (1-3).
WINSLOW 73, MOUNT VIEW 19: Paige Trask led the Black Raiders with 16 points on the way to a win over the Mustangs in Winslow.
Silver Clukey had 12 points, while Heather Kervin and Madison Roy each had 11 points for Winslow (5-1).
Halle Reynolds led Mount View (1-4) with six points.
VINALHAVEN 58, RANGELEY 36: Natasha Haley scored 21 points for the Lakers, but it wasn’t enough to overtake the Vikings in Rangeley.
Celia Philbrick added six points for Rangeley (5-2).
Deja Doughty led Vinalhaven (6-1) with 15 points.

WINSLOW 55, MOUNT VIEW 42: Spencer Miranda scored 15 points to help lead the Black Raiders in Thorndike.
Jack Morneault scored 12 points, while Colby Pomeroy chipped in with eight points for Winslow (6-0).
Devon Davis led Mount View (3-3) with 17 points.
VINALHAVEN 65, RANGELEY 51: Despite 36 points for Kyle LaRochelle, the Lakers fell to the Vikings in East/West Conference action in Rangeley.
LaRochelle added seven rebounds for Rangeley (2-5) while Zach Trafton had six points and Ian Lillis grabbed nine rebounds.
Vinalhaven (5-3) was led by Keon Avey and Cody Hamilton with 24 points each.
OCEANSIDE 54, MESSALONSKEE 52: Cooper Wirkala scored 20 points, including 17 in the second half, to lead the Mariners in Rockport.
Nate Raye added 12 points for Oceanside (7-1).
Nate Violette scored 20 points to lead the Eagles (5-3) while James Kouletsis and Cole Wood had 10 apiece.
RICHMOND 82, FOREST HILLS 54: Zach Small scored 32 points to lead the Bobcats to the East/West Conference win in Jackman.
Matt Rines added 14 points for Richmond (7-0) while Cody Tribbet had 13 and Matt Holt had 11.
Forest Hills (2-4) was led by Brandon Gilboe (13 points) and Carson Veilleux (9).
ERSKINE 62, MT. BLUE 45: Jack Jowett scored 23 points to lead the Eagles in Farmington.
Noah Bonsant added 12 points for Erskine (5-3).
Mt. Blue (1-7) was led by Caleb Hall and James Anderson with 11 points each.
GIRLS HOCKEY
WINSLOW/GARDINER 4, BRUNSWICK 3: Evelyn Hinkley scored twice, including the game-winner with 30 seconds remaining, to lift Winslow/Gardiner on Thursday at Bowdoin College.
Julia Nadeau and Liz Nadeau also scored for Winslow/Gardiner (6-5-0). Anna Chadwick and Sarah Morgan each added two assists while Cassie Demers stopped 16 shots in net.
Jenna Brooks scored two goals for Brunswick (6-5-0) and Michelle Berry had the other goal. Beth Labbe assisted all three. Nadia Leiner made 18 saves.
