OAKLAND — A free rabies clinic for Oakland residents is set for 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Oakland Fire Station. The clinic is also open to non-residents for a $12 fee.

Dr. Peter Walsh, has volunteered his time and services for this event organized by the town and the Oakland Lions.

If your pet has had a prior rabies vaccination, bring the certificate so your pet may receive a three-year vaccination, otherwise your pet will receive a one-year vaccination.

Also, during this time, Town Office staff will be available to issue 2017 dog licenses for Oakland residents. All dogs must be licensed prior to Jan. 31 to avoid the automatic $25 late fee regulated by the state.

Registration fees are $6 for spayed/neutered pets for $11 for unaltered pets, if registering for the first time, bring a certificate of spaying/neutering.

For more information, call the Oakland Town Office at 465-7357.
