The search for a Piscataquis County woman who has not been seen since Halloween has been suspended, the Maine Warden Service said Monday.

The agency announced in a press release that it has suspended the search for Diana Estey, 71, of Medford, saying, “At this point, no clues have been found that can be attributed to Diana Estey.”

About 40 members of a search party spent Monday looking for clues to her whereabouts, but came up with nothing.

The Warden Service is urging hunters, camp owners and homeowners in the Medford area to check outbuildings and other structures that could provide shelter.

Estey is 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 100 pounds, and has gray hair and green eyes. She may be wearing a gray polar fleece top. Anyone with information about her should contact the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office at 564-3304 or the Bangor Public Safety Dispatch center at 973-3700.

Organizations and volunteers that have participated in the search include the Maine Mounted SAR horse team, a Maine Forest Service helicopter, Maine Search and Rescue Dogs, Unity College and local residents.
