I see that our illustrious governor — I say that in jest — is once again getting by with a simple apology and slap on the wrist for insulting, threatening and using very crude remarks to someone.

I have always tried not to believe that it makes a difference how much money you have and/or who you are as to what you can say or do or get away with it. However, I’m afraid this seems to be the way it is now. Here in our state, across the nation and the world, from a governor, rich brats in California, world leaders and a world leader wannabe. How sad. Who will the next generation have to look up to? I really feel that the words “respect” and “discipline” and the phrase “I am sorry” should be stricken from the English language, as none has any real meaning anymore.

“Unfortunately,” a word one legislator used to describe the governor’s latest rant, “negativity breeds negativity” still holds true.
