Human resources seminar set for Sept. 20 in Lewiston
September’s Central Maine Human Resources Association program will tackle the issue of succession planning, according to a news release from the group.
Succession planning recognizes that some positions are the lifeblood of the organization, and planning well for the continuity of key leadership roles ultimately determines future success or failure, according to the group. To plan, it is helpful to understand behaviors and characteristics of an organization’s leaders, what the association describes as the alignment of the head, heart and stomach.
The program is scheduled for 7:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Sept. 20 at the Carriage House, at 1119 Lisbon St. in Lewiston. There will be time to network before and after the program.
The speakers are Kim Anania, of KMA Consulting; and Phil Harriman, of Lebel & Harriman LLP.
Membership in the association is open to all for-profit, nonprofit, public and private organizations. Meetings regularly are attended by human resources managers; benefits administrators; health, wellness and safety managers; training and development professionals; supervisors; small business owners; and other people interested in human resource issues.
