Addi Williams and Keely Manzo each registered a hat trick and the Huskies opened the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B schedule with a 9-0 road win over Maranacook on Thursday.
April McAlpine, Madisyn Hartley and Jillian Frost each added a goal for MCI (1-0).
The Black Bears (0-1) were blanked by a pair of MCI goalies, as Elspeth Taylor and Ashley Soulliere combined in the shutout.
GARDINER 5, OCEANSIDE 0: Madelin Walker scored two goals and Sarah Morgan had a goal and two assists as the Tigers rolled to the season-opening victory in Rockland. Hailee Lovely and Skye LaVoie also scored for Gardiner (1-0).
Mattie Hopper had 16 saves for Oceanside (0-1).
CAMDEN HILLS 2, WATERVILLE 0: Sadie Mills scored two goals as Camden blanked Waterville in the season opener for both teams.
Susannah Gray and Lexie Tinch each had assists for the Windjammers (0-1).
Cobe Dangler had eight saves for the Panthers (0-1).
NOKOMIS 1, LAWRENCE 0: Lauren Burke’s goal with 12 minutes left in the game lifted the Warriors to the KVAC B win over the Bulldogs in Newport.
Nokomis is 1-0, Lawrence is 0-1.
LEAVITT 2, MOUNT VIEW 1: Kaitlyn Leclerc scored with 5:48 left in regulation to give the Hornets the victory in Thorndike. Leclerc had both Leavitt (2-0) goals.
Reanna Boulay scored the lone goal for Mount View (0-1).
MT. BLUE 4, BRUNSWICK 0: Hannah Minns scored a goal and added two assists as the Cougars cruised in a KVAC A game played Wednesday.
Ellie Pelletier, Samantha Ellis and Adelle Foss also scored for Mt. Blue (1-0).
