A Livermore Falls man has been charged with possessing child pornography by the Maine State Police.

Christopher Roy, 36, was arrested Thursday morning at his home on Hunton Loop Road by Computer Crimes Unit investigators and Livermore Falls police officers, Maine State Police spokesman Steve McCausland said.

Roy was taken to the police department, where he posted bail and was released. He is due to appear in court on Nov. 9.

Investigators seized Roy’s electronic equipment. Police began investigating Roy after receiving a tip about two weeks ago.
