University of Southern Maine senior shortstop was named the D3baseball.com New England Player of the Year.
Dexter, a 2012 Messalonskee graduate, hit .404 with five home runs and 44 RBIs. He also stole 19 bases and scored 43 runs for the Huskies, who went 29-13 but failed to qualify for the NCAA Division III tournament.
Dexter, who became the all-time leader in doubles for USM this season, was the D3baseball.com national player of the year last season.
Dexter finished his career at USM with a .387 average.
