AUGUSTA — Start times for several high school basketball games were changed Tuesday night with inclement weather in the forecast.
The anticipated Cony and Gardiner boys game was moved to 5 p.m. while the Lawrence and Messalonskee boys and girls games were switched to 5:30 p.m.
Cony (4-6) edged Gardiner (5-4) 54-52 earlier this season.
The Lawrence girls (10-0), the defending Class A state champions, will host Messalonskee (8-1) in a battle of the top two teams in Class A North.
The Bulldogs sank the Eagles 67-43 in the season opener Dec. 4 in Oakland.
Other schedule changes:
• The Maranacook-Winslow games were postponed to Friday. The girls will play in Winslow while the boys will tip off in Readfield.
• The Boothbay-Monmouth boys basketball game was postponed to Wednesday.
• The Madison-Dirigo boys game was postponed to Saturday.
• The Waterville-MCI boys and girls games were postponed. A makeup date is to be determined.
• The Mt. Blue-Oxford Hills boys game was postponed to Wednesday.
