Winthrop High School students will once again visit homes in their community between 5 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, to ask for donations for UNICEF.
UNICEF, sponsored by the United Nations, provides clean water, food, and schools to children living in the poorest areas of the world, according to a news release from the high school.
This charitable event is organized by the WHS Latin Club, and the students who participate will wear white togas with a green border, and will carry official orange UNICEF boxes.
All donations, no matter how small, will help children who are struggling for even the basics of survival.
