Trail Running, 5 p.m. in Jefferson

A summer trail training series is taking place at Hidden Valley Nature Center every Wednesday until Sept. 16. Runners of all levels can sign up for this casual series. Start your run anytime between 5 and 6 p.m. as volunteers time your progress around a course ranging from 5.5 to 10 miles. The courses will cover sections of the nature center’s annual Race Through the Woods half-marathon race held in the fall. This series is a great way to get to know the trails and a way to get an edge for the Race Through the Woods. To learn more go to hvnc.org/trailtraining, email info@hvnc.org, or call 200-8840.
