OAKLAND — The Waterville Country Club and Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area will host the 14th annual Swing for Hope and Hospice Golf Tournament Monday, July 13. Proceeds will help to ensure the continuation of Hope’s Place, a program for grieving children, teens and their families, according to a news release from Hospice Volunteers.
The tournament provides local businesses the opportunity to support Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area by sponsoring a team, a hole, a cart, or by providing gift in kind donations. Sponsorships are recognized in Hospice’s annual report, monthly newsletter, the website and Facebook.
Tournament highlights include opportunities to compete for prizes donated by local businesses such as tandem skydiving, Silver Street Tavern gift card, Fox Ridge Golf Course green fees, Joka’s Discount beverages and a Whitewater Rafting trip. Prizes will be awarded for best gross and net scores and longest drive for men and women. A luncheon and presentation of awards will follow.
The entrance fee of $125 per person includes 18 holes of golf, cart, strings and mulligan’s, tournament prizes, refreshments and luncheon.
