AUGUSTA — Bailey Tremblay won 46 games in her pitching career at Thornton Academy.

Tremblay won the 2015 Miss Maine Softball award Thursday at the Senior East-West all-star games at Cony High School. Cony’s Arika Brochu and Gardiner’s Kristal Smith were the other finalists.

She is the second Golden Trojan to win the award since its inception in 1999. Julia Geaumont, also a pitcher, won it in 2012.

During the regular season, Tremblay went 14-2 with a 2.01 ERA, 130 strikeouts and 22 walks. She also batted .547 with four home runs, 24 RBIs and 11 runs scored.

Tremblay will play softball at the University of New England.

The Maine High School Softball Coaches Association presents the Miss Maine Baseball award annually to the top high school senior softball player in the state.

Brochu finished 11-3 during the regular season for the Rams with 83 strikeouts, 10 walks and a 1.01 ERA. She also led the team in hitting with a .604 average, five home runs, 19 RBIs and 29 runs. She was the KVAC Player of the Year for the second consecutive year. She will play softball for St. Anselm’s College.

Smith went 15-0 for the Tigers with 131 strikeouts and 22 walks in 84 regular-season innings. She batted .607 with six home runs. She will play softball for St. Joseph’s College.
