RICHMOND — Bailey Johansen hit a two-run double with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Richmond a 7-6 walk-off victory in the opener of a Western D doubleheader against Forest Hills on Saturday.
The Bobcats rolled to a 15-5 victory in the second game, which was shortened to five innings. Matt Rines had three singles and Brendan Emmons doubled to lead Richmond (9-1) in Game 2.
Curtis Anderson tripled in Game 1.
HALL-DALE 7, MTN. VALLEY 3: Brian Allen had two hits, including a double, to lead the Bulldogs past the Falcons in Rumford on Friday.
Quinn Stebbins had three singles and earned the victory on the mound for the Bulldogs (6-3).
Ian Austin had two singles for Mountain Valley (5-4).
WINSLOW 22, MCI 0: Winslow scored eight runs in the top of the first and never looked back in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Friday afternoon. Nate Gagnon and Ben Smith each had four hits. Gagnon drove in three runs as well.
SOFTBALL
RICHMOND 12-23, FOREST HILLS 0-0: Meranda Martin had five hits and four RBIs as the Bobcats rolled to the victory in the second game of a Western D doubleheader sweep.
Camryn Hurley had two singles and three RBIs and Kelsie Obie homered and drove in three as well for the Bobcats (9-0). Martin also struck out 11 and walked just one to earn the victory.
In Game 1, Sidney Tilton struck out 11 and allowed just one hit to lead the Bobcats.
GIRLS LACROSSE
SOUTH PORTLAND 15, CONY 8: Mary Cronin scored five goals and Abbey Letourneau added four to lead South Portland in Augusta.
Letourneau added an assist for South Portland (4-3). Becca Conniff scored four goals and Katelyn Bilodeau added a goal and two assists to pace Cony (0-7).
Erin Alexander, Mary Kirschner and Annie Brannigan also scored for the Rams.
Lizzy Dennison had 23 saves for Cony as well.
KENNEBUNK 12, MESSALONSKEE 3: Jenny Bush scored five goals and Olivia Sanford added three to lead the Rams in Oakland.
Bella Kudas had 13 saves for Kennebunk (7-0).
Nathalie St. Pierre scored two goals and Lauren Pickett added a goal and an assist for the Eagles (7-1). Sydni Collier had 11 saves for the Eagles.
BOYS LACROSSE
GREELY 9, MESSALONSKEE 6: Tim Adams scored three goals and Dylan Trelegan added a pair to pace the Rangers in Cumberland.
Will Weeks and Austin Pelletier scored two goals to pace Messalonskee (5-3). Dylan Burton added four assists. Connor Smith and Alden Balboni also scored for the Eagles.
