Kylie Whittemore, of Cornville, graduated in March with honors from the Art Institute of Charleston in South Carolina. She obtained a bachelor of fine arts degree in photography with a specialization in fashion and editorial work. At the closing of her senior year, she was presented with an Excellence in Campus Leadership Award. Because she was in an accelerated program, she went to school year round. This allowed her to complete her degree in just two years and eight months.

Her ultimate goal is to work for a fashion magazine and run a freelance photography studio in Charleston.

Whittemore, a 2012 graduate of Skowhegan Area High School, is the daughter of Jason and Paula Whittemore, of Cornville. Her grandparents are Paul and Nancy Moulton, and Rod and Coralee Whittemore, all of Skowhegan. She also is the great-granddaughter of Rusty and Nathalie Arsenault, and Sandy Whittemore, of Skowhegan.
