Oak Hill High School’s select choir Voices of Color will celebrate its 25th anniversary with an alumni reunion concert June 6 at the high school in Wales. The choir seeks former members to sing in this event.
Voices of Color founder and current music director at Camden Hills High School Kimberly Murphy will join current OHHS music director John Neal, to conduct the Reunion Voices of Color. The two directors plan a varied program to be presented in concert with the current edition of Voices of Color, at 6:30 p.m. June 6 in the high school auditorium, according to a news release from the school.
Reunion VOC participants will receive music to prepare in advance after the register on the school’s website oakhillnet.org or on the event’s Facebook page.
Participants will meet at 1 p.m. June 6 at Oak Hill High School and will rehearse through the afternoon. After dinner on their own, the group will reconvene at the school for a gala reunion concert.
Voices of Color members hope parents and friends of former VOC members will spread the word and encourage all VOC alumni to take part. The concert will be free and open to the public.
