AUGUSTA — Kennebec Valley Community College Energy Services and Technology student Dallas Huber won first place in the Maine Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association’s 121st annual EXPO Plumbing Apprenticeship Contest held March 20 at the Augusta Civic Center.
Huber was awarded $500 in cash and tools worth $400 during the association’s annual convention and trade show, according to a KVCC news release.
KVCC’s EST Program entered two students in the contest. Chris Cormier, the second contestant, placed third and received $50 in cash and tools worth $400.
“I am very proud of both of the students,” said KVCC plumbing instructor Brad Harding in the release. “They worked hard to prepare for the contest and the competition was intense.”
