Marti Brann, writing as Delia Drake, will be signing copies of her new book “Distant Cousin” from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble in Augusta.
In the book, Thea Chadworth, a quiet librarian in the small coastal town of Trafton, Maine, becomes embroiled in murder, a mystery from her past and international goings on, as stated in a news release. She is introduced to the worst and best as she tries to come to grips with what is happening in her life. Helped by a member of the sheriff’s department, who quickly becomes a love interest for Thea, she needs to find out who is friend and who is foe as she draws on inner strength and intelligence to survive.
Brann was born and raised in Maine and lives in Vassalboro with her husband Austin, the spirit of a very spoiled long haired Chihuahua named Adrian, a very plump black cat named Rachel Rose and her newest baby, a Pomeranian named Paisley. Delia can be reached at DeliaDrake@roadrunner.com.
