It’s reportedly a $77 off-the-rack dress but it’s causing many on social media to question their sanity.
Is it blue and black? White and gold? Blue and gold?
Celebs and the Twitterverse have been debating the issue since an image of the dress went viral Thursday.
If you believe Mashable, the dress is definitely blue and black.
Kim thinks it’s white and gold. Kanye sees blue and black.
According to CNBC.com the post broke Buzzfeed’s traffic numbers with more than 670,000 people viewing the post simultaneously at one point and garnering 16 million hits in six hours.
And nearly everyone’s weighing in:
What color is that dress? I see white & gold. Kanye sees black & blue, who is color blind?

.@_juliannemoore said its white and gold but @taylorswift13 said blue and black but Julianne has been alive longer & knows more about colors

I don’t understand this odd dress debate and I feel like it’s a trick somehow. I’m confused and scared. PS it’s OBVIOUSLY BLUE AND BLACK

Who cares what colour it is?
It's horrible.
Don't wear it.
Yuk.

My take on the #dress: Nothing good can come from horizontal stripes on clothing. #whatcoloristhisdress

Dear alien invasion force. The humans are hopelessly distracted by the colour of a #dress and some #llamas. Invade now.

When the graph plotting the decline of rational thought is drawn, I imagine this will be one of those sharp declines. #dress #getagrip

Can @BillNye please settle this and explain why we're all seeing different #dress colors?
(and then can we never talk about this again)

I'm sure this dress thing is a psychological experiment!! #dress

It may be silly, but it's nice to be talking about fun things like #Llamas and a wacky #dress for a change. Back to bad news tomorrow.
