BANGOR — A Maine state police detective says he found a pink sweatshirt believed to belong to a Glenburn murder victim while investigating the girl’s disappearance.
In court Thursday, Detective Scott Bryant said he and a game warden collected the sweatshirt as evidence while investigating 15-year-old Nichole Cable’s disappearance. Bryant is testifying in the trial of 21-year-old Kyle Dube, who is accused of using Facebook to lure, kidnap and kill Cable. Prosecutors say the sweatshirt is one of many pieces of evidence that tie Dube to the death. They say Cable was wearing the sweatshirt when she disappeared and it was found near a road.
WABI-TV reports recent testimony is focusing on police who investigated Cable’s disappearance. The trial started Monday. Defense attorneys say someone else committed the crime.
