CASTLETON, VT. — Eric Westbrooks scored 25 points for the Thomas men’s basketball team in a 70-60 loss to Castleton on Tuesday night during the North Atlantic Conference quarterfinals.

Skowhegan graduate Levi Barnes scored 17 points for the Terriers, while Mike Akanji and Winslow graduate Justin Murray each added five points.

Thomas ends the season 12-14.

Chad Copeland scored 19 points for the Spartans (14-12).

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

COLBY-SAWYER 62, UM-FARMINGTON 58: Amanda Calvo scored 23 points off the bench and Jessica Shenkel added 12 to lead Colby-Sawyer (16-10) in a NAC quarterfinal. Meghan Smith had 15 points and Liz Ferry added 12 to pace the Beavers (11-15). Smith also had 17 rebounds.

UNIFIED BASKETBALL

MESSALONSKEE 38, WATERVILLE 22: Shawn McIntyre scored 12 points for the Eagles in a win over the Purple Panthers in Oakland.

RJ Preo and Tyler Ward each added six points for Messalonskee (1-1).

Nick Belanger scored eight points for Waterville (0-2), while Damon Beck and Lauren Anderson each added four points.
