WATERVILLE — The History of the Waterville Fire Department will be the focus from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 8, in the Large Print Room at the Waterville Public Library.
Veteran firefighter Scott A. Holst will talk about the department from its founding in 1809 to modern day. Topics will include fires of the past, what resources were available to fight them, and how they compare to what they have today, according a news release from the library.
This program is free, open to the public, and requires no registration. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, call Meta Vigue at 680-2609.
