Maine Connections Academy will host an in-person information session in Waterville at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at Best Western Plus Waterville, 375 Main St. The Academy is an innovative public school option that provides personalized education to students in grades 7-12 online, according to an MCA news release.
MCA, the state’s first full-time, tuition-free virtual public charter school, is now enrolling students for the 2015-16 school year. Interested families are encouraged to learn more about how virtual school works and if it’s the right fit for their students by attending an in-person information session held statewide by Maine Connections Academy over the coming weeks.
Families will have the opportunity to meet with a MCA faculty member or representative, explore the program and curriculum, and ask questions about the enrollment process. A complete list of events and a link to the on-demand session are available: www.MaineConnectionsAcademy.com/Events.
