The Holocaust and Human Rights Center of Maine will host the Hearts For Human Rights fundraising event on Friday, Feb. 13, beginning at 6 p.m. at Le Club Calumet, 334 West River Road, Augusta.
This evening will include dinner, a cash bar, big band music performed by the Mike Willette Swing Band, songs by special guest Birdie Katz, dancing, and an auction featuring guest auctioneer Perry McCourtney of Sprague & Curtis Real Estate, according to a news release from the center.
The items for the auction will include a four night stay for up to eight people at the Willard Jalbert Camps at Round Pond on the Allagash; a stay at the Bailey Island Motel right on Casco Bay and Harpswell Sound; an opportunity to take a boat out into Casco Bay and harvest up to six Maine lobsters directly from the trap; Augusta-area gift baskets featuring a bottle of fine wine, a gift certificate to the Cloud 9 restaurant and to the Senator Day Spa, and a certificate from Scrumm Afters Candy Shoppe; a hand-sewn quilt; and several pieces of fine art and jewelry. Hallowell native Perry McCourtney will be the guest auctioneer, and Sprague & Curtis Real Estate will sponsor the decorations for the tables at the event, according to the release.
Tickets for the Hearts for Human Rights fundraising event are $40 per person, $300 for a table of eight, and there are sponsorship opportunities available.
