AUGUSTA — The Maine Principals’ Association postponed the regional cheerleading championships in Augusta from Saturday to Monday due to the snowstorm that was expected to hit the region.

The competition Monday — which features squads from Western A, B and C as well as Eastern A will begin at 3 p.m. Monday.

The other regional meet, which features Eastern B and the Eastern C/Class D, is still scheduled for Saturday at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor at 9 a.m.
