WATERVILLE — Sustain Mid Maine Coalition’s annual meeting is planned from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, in the Waterville City Council Chambers.
Mike Stoddard, executive director of Efficiency Maine, a statewide initiative to lower energy costs and environmental impacts by increasing the use of cost-effective energy efficiency and alternative energy projects, will be the keynote speaker. Stoddard will talk about the cost savings one can realize by taking advantage of Efficiency Maine Trust programs, according to a news release by the coalition.
Currently there are new incentives for both businesses and home owners. Additionally he will highlight what Efficiency Maine Trust is doing to track the real impact of conservation measures, weatherization, fuel switching and heat source changes such as converting from an oil boiler to a mini split heat pump.
Those who attend will have the opportunity to learn more about Sustain Mid Maine Coalition, a grassroots, environmental organization.
