Sebasticook Valley Health received a check from Maine Central Institute senior Gavin Dugas who raised money for the SVH Women’s Health Center. SVH President and CEO/EMHS Senior Vice President, Terri Vieira, accepted on behalf of the Women’s Health Center, according to a news release.
“We are always grateful to area youth who raise money for causes that matter to them personally,” said Vieira in the release. “The money Gavin raised through pledges through the AJGA ACE Grant Program will help SVH continue to offer breast health services to area women in need and continue services that help to lessen their fears and empower them to take control of their health.”
Dugas raised money from pledges for the amount of birdies he made during competitive play. This is the second fundraising effort that he participated in: his father, PGA golf professional Mike Dugas, encouraged him to consider SVH Women’s Health in honor of his aunt who received exceptional patient care at the Women’s Health Center.
