PITTSFIELD — Kali Doiron scored a pair of unassisted goals as Maine Central Institute defeated Mount View, 2-0 in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B field hockey action Tuesday afternoon.
Doiron scored 5:12 into the first half, and again with 14:38 left in the half. Mikayla Carr made eight saves for MCI (9-5) to earn the shutout.
Dinah Bilodeau made seven saves for Mount View. The Mustangs had a 12-3 edge in penalty corners.
Mount View (8-4-2) appears headed for fourth place in the final Eastern C Heal points, and will likely face MCI in the quarterfinals.
WINSLOW 9, BREWER 1: Miranda Gagne, Jess Greeley, and Natalie Greene each scored two goals as the Black Raiders rolled to the win over the Witches in Winslow.
Sarah Wildes, Brooke Haskell, and Ciera Poulin had the other goals for Winslow (13-0-1), which will face Skowhegan for the KVAC championship at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, at Thomas College. Poulin and Greeley each had one assist, and Madison Roy chipped in with two.
Delaney Wood made one save for the Raiders.
Keanna Beal scored on a penalty stroke and Brooke Richards finished with 16 saves for Brewer (7-6-1).
GIRLS SOCCER
EDWARD LITTLE 4, LAWRENCE 1: Calli Murray scored two goals to lead EL to the Kennebec Valley Conference Class A win.
Lauren Berube and Makayla Norcross also scored for the Red Eddies.
Paige Belanger scored the lone goal for Lawrence (2-8-2).
Lauren Wadleigh had 16 saves for the Bulldogs while Molly Murray had four for EL.
BANGOR 3, MESALONSKEE 1: Allison Boulier scored twice to lead Bangor to lead the Rams to victory in Oakland.
Boulier and Mary Butler both scored in the final 31 seconds of the first half to give the Rams a 2-0 lead. Boulier added her second goal off a corner kick in the eighth minute of the second half. Lauren Pickett scored the Eagles’ lone goal with 18:25 left.
Taylor Easler made 10 saves in net for Messalonskee (5-5-2). Emily Gilmore, Maddie Hodgdon and Page Cadorette combined to stop four shots for Bangor (10-0-2).
LEWISTON 5, SKOWHEGAN 0: Adela Kalilwa and Emily Gosselin each tallied a goal and an assist as Lewiston shut out Skowhegan in Skowhegan.
Taylor Chamberlain, Morgan Eliason and Ally Frechette also scored for the Blue Devils (6-6), while Kelsey St. Cyr made seven saves in net. Tara Bernard stopped 11 shots and Tadem Parker set two aside in net for the Indians (1-11).
BOYS SOCCER
WATERVILLE 4, MCI 0: Michael Olivera scored a goal and an assist as the Panthers blanked the Huskies in KVAC B play.
Michael Bolduc, Cam Gardiner and Danilo Guthro also scored for Waterville (9-3-0). Liam Edwards made 15 saves for the win.
Devon Varney made 10 saves for MCI (3-8-1).
ST. DOMINIC’S 3, CARRABEC 1: Adam Vining, Jacob Charest and Ryan Lutrzykowski each scored a goal to lead the Saints to the Mountain Valley Conference win in North Anson.
Nicholas Sansone scored for Carrabec (7-5-0) on a penalty kick.
Ben Sawyer made three saves for the Saints (7-2-2). Trent Richardson had 10 saves for the Cobras.
ERSKINE 5, MEDOMAK 1: Sam Wilkinson and Luke Peabody each scored two goals to lead the Eagles to the KVAC B victory in Lincoln.
Ryan Roderigue also scored for Erskine (10-1-1).
Patrick Madden had a goal for Medomak (6-5-1).
Peabody and Roderigue each had assists as well.
HALL-DALE 2, MT. ABRAM 0: Jake Young and Nat Crocker each scored goals to lead the Bulldogs to the Mountain Valley Conference victory in Salem.
Ryan Sinclair had an assist for Hall-Dale (11-1-0).
Tristen Dyer had eight saves for the Roadrunners (8-4-0).
MARANACOOK 5, NOKOMIS 0: Kent Mohlar scored 3 goals to lead the Black Bears to a win over the Warriors.
Nate Delmar and Kody Solmitz added goals for Maranacook (11-0-0). Chris Beckwith had 2 assists.
Nick Bolliger had 31 saves for Nokomis (3-8-1).
MESSALONSKEE 2, BANGOR 2: Elija Tuell and Dylan Jones scored for the Eagles, who picked up a big tie in Bangor.
Jonah Webb had nine saves for the Eagles (5-6-1).
Bangor moved to 8-1-3
