WATERVILLE — Pilar Elias and Lydia Roy each scored two goals as Waterville defeated Nokomis, 4-0, in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B girls soccer action Wednesday afternoon.
Roy and Elias each added one assist for Waterville (2-0). Sarah Shoulta assisted on the game’s final goal, and Gabi Martin made one save for the shutout.
Shayla Kelley stopped 29 shots for Nokomis (0-2).
MADISON 2, ST. DOMINIC 1: Sydney LeBlanc scored with 35 seconds left in regulation to give the Bulldogs a dramatic victory over the Saints in Madison.
Kaylynn Linck gave St. Dom’s (1-1) an early lead when she scored after being set up by Emily Caron. Madison’s Kayla Bess later tied the score.
Erin Whalen had three saves for Madison (2-0), while Nicole Robitaille made seven for St. Dom’s.
MTN. VALLEY 2, MT. ABRAM 0: Sarah Klein found the net once in each half to lead the Falcons past the Roadrunners in Salem Township.
Both of Klein’s goals were unassisted. Karen Flaherty stopped three shots for Mtn. Valley (1-1). Abby Brackley finished with 10 saves for Mt. Abram (0-3).
BOYS SOCCER
TEMPLE 2, GOULD 0: The Bereans won their first game of the season by blanking Gould in South Portland.
Micah Ripportella and Joey Rossignol each scored a goal for Temple (1-1). Garrett Smith had three saves for the shutout.
Dariyin Wolfe made three saves for Gould (0-2).
CARRABEC 5, WISCASSET 0: On Tuesday, Dylan Willette had two goals and an assist as the Cobras blanked the Wolverines in Wiscasset.
Seth Burns, Dustin Crawford, and Isaac Vaillancourt also scored for Carrabec (2-0). Nick Sansone added two assists and Jacob Atwood had one.
Trent Richardson earned the shutout with three saves. For Wiscasset, Colin Ranta stopped 18 shots.
WOMEN’S SOCCER
COLBY 6, THOMAS 0: Five different players scored as Colby College shut out Thomas College, 6-0, in women’s soccer action Wednesday afternoon at Colby.
Aliza Van Leesten scored twice for the Mules (2-3). Cami Notaro, Lauren McCarthy, Georgia Lubrano, and Lauren Arnold each added a goal.
Ashley Conley and Emily Brook combined for four saves for Colby.
Erskine Academy graduate Paige Leary made 15 saves for Thomas (2-3).
MEN’S SOCCER
Thomas 1, Bates 0: Tre Ming scored his first goal of the season in the second half to push the Terriers past the Bobcats in Waterville.
Ming, who had four assists in Thomas’ first three games this season, scored an unassisted goal at the 73:23 mark.
Winston Trott came up with eight saves for Thomas (2-2). Sam Polito stopped three shots for Bates (0-2-1). The Bobcats had a 19-12 advantage in total shots.
UNE 3, UMAINE-FARMINGTON 0: The Nor’easters outshots the Beavers 23-4 on their way to the win in Biddeford.
Dexter Doucette, Matthew Christie, and Will Bushey accounted for the goals for UNE (2-0-1). Ronie Morales had nine saves for UMF (0-1).
FIELD HOCKEY
USM 2, UMAINE-FARMINGTON 0: Peyton Dostie and Leanne Reichert each scored a goal as the Huskies defeated the Beavers in Farmington.
Samantha Crosman added an assist for USM (2-2), and goalie Amanda Kasbohm made 11 saves. Patricia Smith had three stops for UMF (2-1).
