Franzel earns degree, makes dean’s list
ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Sarah Franzel of Wayne, Maine, daughter of Jay Franzel and Hildie Lipson, graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in theatre from Muhlenberg College.
Franzel, also named to the dean’s list for the spring 2014 semester, is a graduate of Maranacook Community School.
Lanphear, of Manchester, named to dean’s list
WORCESTER, Mass. — Harry Lanphear of Manchester, Maine, has been named to Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s dean’s list for academic excellence for the spring 2014 semester.
Lanphear is a junior majoring in mechanical engineering.
Kilian named to dean’s list
GREENVILLE, S.C. — Grace Kilian, a sophomore special education major of South China, Maine, has been named to the Bob Jones University spring 2014 dean’s list.
Roberge, of Vassalboro, receives doctorate
FINDLAY, Ohio — Kylee Roberge, of Vassalboro, Maine, graduated from The University of Findlay on May 3.
Roberge received a doctor of physical therapy.
Stahl graduates from Emerson College
BOSTON, Mass. — Caterina Stahl, of Somerville, Maine, has graduated from Emerson College. Stahl received a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.
Wilson, of Hallowell, receives degree
BURLINGTON, Vt. — Jeffrey Wilson of Hallowell, Maine, received a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Vermont’s College of Education & Social Services.
Whitelaw, of Readfield, named to dean’s list
BOSTON, Mass. — Ashlee M. Whitelaw, of Readfield, Maine, has been named to the Northeastern University dean’s list for the spring 2014 semester.
Whitelaw is majoring in pharmacy.
Two local students graduate from St. Lawrence University
CANTON, N.Y. — Two local students, Kyle P. Blanchette of Dresden, Maine, and Jacob S. Cockrell of Kents Hill, Maine, have graduated from St. Lawrence University.
Blanchette was awarded a degree in history and English cum laude.
Cockrell was awarded a degree in environmental studies.
Phillips, of Windsor, named to dean’s list
BIDDEFORD/PORTLAND — Amy Phillips, daughter of Lambros and Andrea Phillips of Windsor, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2012 fall and spring semesters, as well as the fall of 2013 semester at the University of New England.
Phillips, a 2012 graduate of Erskine Academy, is a major in applied exercise science. She is involved in Pre-PT Club, Pre-med Club and intramural soccer.
