WATERVILLE — Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area will host the 13th annual Swing for Hope and Hospice Golf Tournament Monday, Aug. 4 at Natanis Golf Course, in Vassalboro, according to a HVWA press release. Registration for the scramble format tournmante starts at 8 a.m.

Profits from this tournament help to ensure the continuation of Hope’s Place, a program for grieving children, teens and families.

The tournament provides area businesses the opportunity to support Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area as gold or crystal sponsors, team and hole sponsors, hole or cart sponsors or with gift in kind donations. Sponsorships are recognized in Hospice’s annual report, monthly newsletter, the website and Facebook.

Tournament highlights include opportunities for both men and women to compete for prizes donated by area businesses such as a white water rafting trip, lobster dinner, theater, free rounds of golf and themed baskets. Prizes will be awarded for best gross and net scores, straightest fairway drive, closest to the pin, longest drive for both men and women and putting contest. A luncheon and presentation of awards will follow. The entrance fee of $115 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf, cart, prizes and luncheon.
