WALTERBORO, S.C. — A Fairfield woman accused of abducting her children during a supervised visit consented to extradition back to Maine, according to Kennebec County District Attorney Meaghan Maloney on Thursday.
BethMarie Retamozzo, 34, who has been held in the Colleton County Jail in South Carolina since Saturday on a charge of fugitive from justice, will return to Maine sometime next week, said Maloney.

Retamozzo has been charged with two counts of criminal restraint by a parent, a class C felony.
The children were reported missing by their grandmother on Aug. 15. The three were later found sleeping at a rest stop on Interstate 95 after driving more than 1,100 miles.
Maloney said the Waterville Police Department will bring Retamozzo back to the area, where she will be held at the Kennebec County jail. Her court date has yet to be determined, said Maloney.
