I was very offended by defense attorney David Sanders’ comments regarding domestic violence in the July 27 article about Carole Swan’s trial.

Sanders said Swan was not under an inordinate amount of stress because of the “run of the mill” violence she experienced. Does Sanders think that some domestic violence is “average” and therefore not particularly stressful?

How bad does abuse have to be to qualify as serious enough to be “stressful” in Sanders’ eyes? His words are insulting to every victim of violence and every person who believes any act of aggression in the home is inappropriate. I believe he owes Swan and all victims an apology.
