Vassalboro’s Fowle
elected SGA president
NEW LONDON, Conn. — Evert Fowle, a junior at Connecticut College, has been elected president of the Student Government Association for the 2013-14 academic year.
As president, Fowle will preside over the Student Assembly, which determines policies that directly impact students. He is also a member of the Student Executive Board, which is the direct line of communication between students and the college’s administration.
Fowle, a 2010 graduate of Erskine Academy, is the son of Lori and Evert Fowle II of Vassalboro.
RPI names local
dean’s list students
TROY, N.Y. — Five local students have been named to the fall 2012 semester dean’s list at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
They are James Neff of Augusta; Bryan Boyce of Sidney; Victoria Butler of Jefferson; Jessica Stratton of Manchester; and Erika Hawksley of Windsor.

to jazz ensemble
GETTYSBURG, Pa. — Sarah Tuttle of Monmouth, Maine, has been selected as a member of the Gettysburg College Jazz Ensemble in the college’s Sunderman Conservatory of Music.
Cox, of Readfield,
receives degree
MARLBORO, Vt. — Emily L. Cox, of Readfield, Maine, has graduated from Marlboro College with a bachelor’s degree in theater/music and American studies/musical theater. Her studies encompassed on an exploration of musical theater as a part of American culture with particular attention given to the role of musical theater in secondary education.
McQuarrie stars
in dance production
FRANKLIN, Mass. — Megan McQuarrie of Vassalboro, Maine, recently starred in Dean College Dance Company’s production of “Change.”
The show featured professionally choreographed performances and members of the Joan Phelps Palladino School of Dance performed hip-hop, jazz, modern, and ballet.
