SKOWHEGAN — A golf tournament to benefit the American Cancer Society is scheduled for Saturday, June 1, at Loon’s Cove Golf Course, 942 Waterville Road. Registration opens at 7 a.m., with a start time of 9 a.m. This is an 18-hole, best-ball tournament with a shotgun start.
The registration fee is $25 per person and there also will be raffles, celebrity golfers, mulligans for sale, a putting contest and door prizes. Trophies will be awarded to first, second and third place. All golfers have a chance to win a new car or golf vacation with a hole-in-one, donated by Hight Chevrolet, according to a news release.
This event is hosted by the SPARC Relay for Life Team and all proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
