I’m responding to the article of April 6 about the morning-after pill. I don’t know when the medical definition of pregnancy changed, but science says a new being comes into existence at the moment that the sperm fertilizes the ovum (egg).

This moment, also called conception, is the time at which pregnancy beings.

Any chemicals that interfere with the implantation of this new human being is not medicine. Medicine attempts to aid the body to function normally. Anything that causes the body to malfunction is not medicine and should not be legally available and definitely should not be covered by insurance.

Just a little reminder of reality, which we seem to have forgotten in the melee.
