SOUTH SOLON — Poetry Express will begin at 6 p.m. today at the South Solon Meeting House.

The event will be conducted by Barbara Sullivan. Featured poets are Peter Harris and Wesley McNair.

There will be Whistle-Stop Readings of Maine poetry by Maine people. Special guests include: Allyn Foss, Eleanor Pooler, Gerda Pilz, Richard Roberts and Abby Shahn.

The poetry event is sponsored by Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance and Maine Humanities Council.
