FARMINGTON — Selectmen decided to postpone a decision about how to fund a $1.1 million, five-year road paving plan until all members are present for the vote.
Chairman Steve Bunker and board member Jessica Berry were absent from Tuesday’s Board of Selectmen meeting.
Selectmen Andrew Hufnagel, Ryan Morgan and Dennis Pike voted on the priority list for road repairs but agreed to consider the funding options next week.
The three roads, in order of priority, are Voter Hill, Morrison Hill and Porter Hill roads. The repair list also includes Mohawk, Seminole, and Shawnee drives, as well as Titcomb Hill Road.
Town Manager Richard Davis said the town can borrow the money and pay off the loan with a 10-year borrowing plan. The town could borrow through either a private bank or the Maine Municipal Bond Bank.
If the board approves seeking the loan, the loan payment plan then would be presented to voters at the annual Town Meeting.
