SKOWHEGAN — A free parenting workshop series, Parenting With Dignity, will be offered through G.E.A.R. Parent Network beginning Jan. 28. All the workshops will be 5-7 p.m. Mondays at Skowhegan Area High School, 61 Academy Circle.

The series will encourage parents and caregivers to rethink their approach to discipline, punishment and empowerment. Designed by Mac Bledsoe, father of former New England Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe, the series teaches parents how to instill a sense of responsible decision-making in their children.

The curriculum also focuses on developing parenting skills that can help address many of the traumatic events caused by inexperience or being unprepared.

For more information about the series or other free services offered, visit gearparentnetwork.org or call 800-264-9224.
