FARMINGTON — The Farmington Emblem Club’s next meeting is set for 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6. This meeting will be in honor of the Supreme President of the United States of America. The annual Christmas party will follow.
Also, the Farmington Emblem Club will host the area nursing home residents during the annual Thanksgiving Dinner on Sunday.
The annual craft fair will be Saturday, Dec. 1. The club will conduct a food drive for the food banks.
During the club’s November meeting, members honored President Sonia Woodrum of Maine State Association of Emblem Clubs and her officers.

Before the meeting, Duane “Kip” Clark, the new Exalted Ruler of the Farmington Elks Lodge, was introduced. Clark presented the club with a check for their help at the Farmington Fair. Clark also talked about the work the two organizations do together and expressed interest in building a stronger bond, according to a news release.
Farmington Emblem Club President Shannon Smith presented a check to Clark from the Farmington Elks Lodge for its portion of the funds from the Mystery Dinner Theater held at the Elks Lodge.
The meeting began with the introduction of State President Sonia Woodrum and the formal opening.
Tom Saviello was introduced and presented the Farmington Emblem Club with a Proclamation of Americanism.
