AUGUSTA – Bond Street has been closed while police and utility workers deal with a truck that has taken down power, phone and cable lines in the area.

The street was closed shortly after 11:30 a.m., after the truck hit the utility lines.

The accident knocked out power in the immediate area. Central Maine Power crews are currently working to repair the lines.

Bond Street is a short connector of State and Water streets.
