Sidney student receives degree
CASTINE — Jonathan Whitcomb of Sidney recently received an associate’s degree in international business and logistics from Maine Maritime Academy.
Whitcomb is a graduate of Waterville Senior High School, Waterville.
Local students named to dean’s list
BEVERLY, Mass. — Three local students have been named to the fall 2011 term dean’s list at Endicott College.
Hayley Lachance is the daughter of Steven Lachance of Farmingdale, Maine, and Holly Lachance of Winthrop, Maine. She is a freshman nursing major.
Katherine S. Landry is the daughter of Stephen and Emily Landry of Augusta, Maine. She is a senior liberal studies teacher licensure major.
Andrea Wing is the daughter of Andrew Wing of Augusta and Rhonda Poirier of Sidney, Maine. She is a sophomore psychology major.
Winthrop student receives degree
CASTINE — Joel Walker of Winthrop recently received a bachelor’s degree in international business and logistics from Maine Maritime Academy.
Walker is a graduate of Winthrop High School, Winthrop.
Hudson joins Sigma Alpha Lambda
LEXINGTON, Ky. — Catherine Capelle Hudson of Wayne, Maine, has been recognized as a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda, National Leadership and Honors Organization, at the University of Kentucky.
Hudson, a junior psychology major at the university, is a 2009 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School.
