SOUTH CHINA — Erskine scored 18 points in the fourth quarter to pull away from Mt. Ararat and earn a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A boys basketball win Monday night.

Shyler Scates finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds for Erskine (6-8). Teammate Tom Grady added 17 points.

Josh Wright had 13 points for Mt. Ararat (1-13).

Cony 60, Oxford Hills 56: Walker Cooper scored 21 points and Zac Lachance added 12 to lead the Rams in an Eastern A game in South Paris.

Chandler Shostak scored 11 points for Cony (5-9) as well.

Brian Lync scored 11 points to pace the Vikings (4-10).

Boothbay 65, Hall-Dale 42: Anthony DiMauro scored 20 points, including 14 from the free throw line, and Ben Dickinson added 15 to lead Boothbay in a Western C game in Farmigdale.

John Hepburn and Evan Hepburn each added seven for the Seahawks (11-4).

Zac Plummer scored 16 points to pace the Bulldogs (10-5).

Girls basketball

Mt. Ararat 56, Erskine 45: Caitlin LaFountain scored a game-high 16 points and Chelsea Crawford added 11 to lead Mt. Ararat in an Eastern A game in Topsham. Mallory Nelson scored 10 points and Molly Estes added eight for Mt. Ararat (9-5).

Meryl Bond scored 14 points and Bridget Humphrey added 12 to lead Erskine (2-12).

Boys hockey

Cony 11, Sacopee Valley/Windham 3: Dakota Bowie and Dallas Clark scored tow goals apeice in the first period and the Rams rolled to a Eastern A victory in Bonnefond Ice Arena in Kents Hill.

Bowie finished with four goals and Clark added three. Tyler Leet scored two goals for Cony (9-3-0), while Zach Gagne and Austin Davis had one each.

Matt Swans and Kirsten Lapatosky combined for eight saves against Sacopee Valley/Windham.

Messalonskee 7, Old Town 2: Sam Dexter scored three goals and Nate DelGiudice stoped 21 shots to lead the Eagles (10-2-0) in an Eastern B game in the Alfond Arena.

Women’s basketball

UM-Augusta 60, College of St. Joseph’s 51: Jenn Lola had 18 points and 11 rebounds as the Moose won in Concord, N.H.

Ashley Peaslee added 17 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals for UMA (14-8). Katie Poirier chipped in with 15 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and two blocks.

Mookie Kennedy scored 21 points and Brittany Garro 14 for CSJ (7-8).
