GREENWOOD — A teenager was transported by ambulance to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway this afternoon after she fell while skiing a trail at Mt. Abram in Greenwood.
General Manager Kevin Rosenberg said the girl fell while skiing the Boris Badenov trail, an expert rated trail that is named after a character in the 1960s television show Rocky and Bullwinkle.
Ski patrol crews got the girl off the mountain before she was loaded into an ambulance and taken to the hospital.
Rosenberg was unable to offer details about her injuries, but said the girl did not hit a tree and did not have to be lifeflighted off the mountain, which is located just outside Bethel village.
The accident occurred arouund 1:30 p.m.
